Each month we send out a survey to all of our Matching Fund church planters and ask for praise reports and prayer requests. Below you’ll find the stats for the Matching Fund as well as a few praise reports from this month’s survey. We encourage you to look them over, celebrate what God is doing and continue to pray for your fellow multipliers.

Here are the numbers for the Church Multiplication Network Matching Fund through December 2009.

  1. Church planting projects that have received CMN Matching Funds: 95
  2. Personal contacts with unchurched individuals: 184,977
  3. Persons baptized in water: 919
  4. Persons baptized in the Spirit: 433
  5. Persons who have made a confession of faith: 4,115
  6. Average Number of people per church attending weekly: 72
  7. Amount given to missions by Matching Funds Churches: $598,196
  8. Amount paid-forward by Matching Fund Churches to start new churches: $342,911

Praise Reports:

Verlon Fosner: Westminster Community Church - Bitterlake (Seattle, Washington)

Verlon Fosner was recently awarded Matching Funds to help plant Westminster Community Church - Bitterlake in Seattle, Washington. Located in the heart of the high-rises and lofts of the Seattle marketplace, they launched on January 10 and are holding two Sunday morning services. At 10:30 a.m. there is a regular worship service while the noon service is a brunch. During the brunch, individuals are served catered meals and then a gospel message is presented. On launch Sunday, 60 people were in attendance at the 10:30 service and 130 people at the noon brunch service. The second week they were blessed to see 15-20 new faces walk in the door. Joseph Garza: New Generation Fellowship (San Antonio, Texas)

Recent Matching Funds recipient Joseph Garza launched New Generation Fellowship on January 17. At their public launch, 208 people were in attendance. That day, Joseph and his team saw 35 decisions for Christ. Joseph said the multi-cultural crowd contained a lot of young couples in their 20’s and 30’s.

Thad Huff: Open Life Church (Bonney Lake, Washington)

Thad Huff was recently awarded Matching Funds to help plant Open Life Church in Bonney Lake, Washington. On January 10, they held their public launch service with 120 people in attendance. That day Thad and his team saw three people make decisions for Christ. Currently, Open Life Church is holding services in a local movie theater.
