On February 16, 2010, Pastor John Van Pay and Gateway Fellowship Church completed the process of paying forward the $30,000 they received two years ago from AG Trust and the Church Multiplication Network’s Matching Fund.

Recently in Palm Springs, California, in a ceremony designed to illustrate the Matching Fund process, John received an over sized check for $30,000 from Dr. George Wood and CMN and then went on to pass the check along to David Docusen. David is a Matching Fund planter preparing to launch Center City Church, a Parent Affiliated Church, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Van Pay and Gateway Fellowship join Todd Bishop and The Point Church of Long Island, New York, as the newest member of the One Percent Club. Membership in the One Percent Club is reserved for the growing group of leaders and churches who have paid forward their original matching amount and are now contributing one percent of their income toward enabling CMN and the Matching Fund to serve future church plants. Both Van Pay and Bishop have plans for daughter churches in the future.
